Swimming Pool Resurfacing
Our Managing Partner, Jim DeBerry has been known to lead some of the best and has one of the most extensive renovation of swimming pool resumes. With customer renovations not in the hundreds but further in the thousands, ranging from the basic diamond brite to custom make overs we have some of the most capable renovation specialist in the state working within our family umbrella. Our Renovation department offers swimming pool resurfacing for its residential and commercial properties in Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St Lucie, Brevard, Orange, Polk, Seminole Osceola, Volusia, Flagler, and Duval Counties.

Our Renovation specialist carefully work with you to consider durability and aesthetics of different pool surface and tile options including Diamond-Brite (sometimes mistakenly referred to as Diamond Bright), Pebble Tec, Water Line Tile, Skimmers, Rock Work and other Water Features. Of course our objective is to find the right quality craftsmanship within your swimming pool refurbishing budget.

A new pool surface can dramatically improve the quality of your backyard from an eyesore to a paradise. It is always much easier to sell your home with a new surface with a warranty then not.

The enjoyment of a new surface and LED color light can bring out the beauty of your home.

Keep in mind with any renovation, there is a right way and a wrong way to do it; and many learn the hard way and do it the wrong way. As with everything we do at Aqua Pool Dealer, we only do it the right way or we won't do it. Doing it the wrong way is like throwing money away. Additionally, we are uniquely qualified as Recreational Water Specialist, after you have resurfaced your pool, to help you take the right steps to preserve your new surface as long as possible. It is very important after resurfacing having a quality Pool Service company that is capable of handling your pool for the next 90 days after.

There are an ever-increasing variety of resurfacing options available in today’s marketplace. The biggest differentiating factors are appearance and price, how they look, what is the make up of the material and the individuals applying the material, and other considerations should be taken into account, as well.

How will the surface look with your lighting? Will a particular type of surface be better suited to a different type of lighting? What are the maintenance considerations of a particular surface option? How durable is the surface, and given what variables? Some surfaces can be quite durable, assuming ideal conditions, but ideal conditions seldom persist.
Please contact us with your specific requests, and we will prepare a free estimate.
Swimming Pool Resurfacing Options

Some of the different types of pool surface options include:

Quartz finishes, the most well known of which is Diamond Brite®, consists of small pieces of quartz (typically shades of blue flakes and white cement.) Available in many different colors, and producing a slightly speckled finish, Diamond Brite and other quartz finishes do a great job of meeting the aesthetic and durability objectives of most pool owners, and are consequently the surfaces we find our customers choose most often.

Pebble finishes, with the most commonly known one being Pebble Tec®, are made with tumbled rock, smoothed of sharp edges. This type of finish gives a more natural feel, and blends well with rockscapes or heavily landscaped environments.

Tile surfaces, both glass and ceramic, although generally more expensive, are becoming increasingly popular. Fully tiled pools have a distinctively rich look that is hard to replicate, and properly installed may have durability advantages. In any case, border tiles can enhance your swimming pool's appearance. We have hundreds of options displayed on our tile options page.
We Resurface Your Pool Right!
Some of the questions you might ask a company you are considering hiring to resurface a pool, and questions we would be happy to answer, include:

Can they assure you they will not use calcium in the mix of plaster? If they do, generally voids it manufacturer's warranty.

Does the company run a type of pump sumping ground water 24 hours a day during the duration of the construction process to help prevent hydrostatic pressure (pool popping)?? This is very important step as this is one of the most vulnerable times of pool construction and should never be overlooked. It’s like throwing cigarette buds in a forest.

If the company uses subcontractors, does the company only use ones that are licensed and insured? This is important because these subcontractors can lien your home.

Does the company have proper workman’s compensation? Does its subcontractors also? This can possibly leave you open to a claim.

Does the company do background checks to protect the safety of your family from harm and theft?

Does the company have pool popping insurance?

Do they clean your filter before and after filling your swimming pool?

Does the company mix only the agreed finish and not whatever is found on their truck from other jobs and then sell your product to other people?

Does the company have a no voicemail policy? Can you reach them?

Does the company bond kote the entire surface with a full mix? Bond kote is an adhesive that is designed to make the diamond brite like material adhere to your surface to prevent what is known as pop offs.

Does the company seal all fittings such as  the main drain at the bottom of your, pool inlet returns, skimmer, light and other areas with hydraulic cement to help prevent leaks? This is a common call back and could lead to future leak detection calls and unnecessary expense to property owner.

Can you trust the company? Do you get the feeling this sales person is honest and trust worthy?

Do you feel the company will be in business next year? Larger companies can be very misleading, that are often the ones whom victimize hundreds of customers and are on the news for not holding up the terms of their agreements and out of business and hiding. Some compaines just mark it up and sub it all out. cut out those middle men.

Does the company associates wear uniforms?

Does the company use a sequestering agent to prevent metals in the water that can then be mixed into the finish causing staining? This is important if you want to decrease staining and extended the life of your new surface. We can imagine you don’t want to pay thousands to sit on a surface that feels like sand paper.

After years of experience, we are to give you an estimate within minutes. We have a highly accurate and top of line pricing system that will not require multiple visits or hassling salesmen.
