The process of building your pool

1st Phase of Construction:

Layout, Grade, Dig, and Steel of a swimming pool

We have many pre drawn and custom designs. We use state of the art 3D programs to recreate your house and new backyard. We do offer At-your home consultation and private and exclusive design center to the affluent customer interested in an infinity edge designed pool. For potential customers in the Caribbean we include flight and hotel accommodations.

The Design

The initial step by include access entry point removal of fencing, HOA approval, or a/c units.

We typically will then Layout with Wooden stakes, string, and or paint.

Upon commencement of initial construction payment we will begin the excavation / dig and Grading process. In most cases, it will typically takes one working day to complete the excavation of your swimming pool and remove the soil from your yard, providing there are no issues with soil or rock.

Rebar Steel reinforcement rods are placed inside the excavated pool/spa area, along the bottom, up the sides, and around the perimeter. Wired together, these rods add to the strength and long life of your pool shell. This will appear in a tic-tac-toe or square box pattern. Sometimes 8x8, 12x12, and even double steel. Aqua Pool Dealer typically exceeds industry standards by using many additional rebar to protect your home and pool against potential issue.

Gunite or Shockcreting (Shell) of the Swimming Pool

After successfully passing inspection, a mixture of concrete known as gunite, is applied through pressurized guns to bond around the rebar steel reinforcing rods. This reinforces the steel, and gives the pool longer-lasting strength. Most gunited pools come with a lifetime warranty on the shell. This is important to protect the integrity of the structure.

Pool Piping and Plumbing

Plumbing crews install piping and the equipment. You will see runs of multiple of pipe along your swimming pool walls and to your equipment. Aqua Pool Dealer meets or exceeds industry standards by using larger plumbing piping and less bends, which enables a faster turnover of water. Plumbing typically requires inspection. In some cases, such as a spa, infloor cleaning system, and some water features require pre-plumbing prior to gunite.

Second Yard Grade

Usually a crewman will bring a bobcat out, fill open ditches that are sometimes required for plumbing inspection, get the deck ready for compaction prior to install and lastly clean up some of the unsightly construction debris.

Pool decking is usually compacted, laid out, formed, and inspected at this time. Some areas require terminate treatment to prevent intrusion upon passing inspection the deck and concrete coping is poured or stone and paver is set according to the desired pattern.

Electric

The electrical crew will hook into your main electric service panel and connect your pool equipment and lighting systems.

Tile, Rock, Masonry, and Water Features

Decking

Tile is installed along what will be the waterline of the interior of the pool. Complete tile pools are sheeted at this time also. In addition, brick coping, stone coping, concrete forms for pouring are installed along the edge or the "lip" of your pool around the perimeter. Aqua Pool Dealer offers a wide variety of tile and coping colors, designs, textures and materials. Rockwork, water features generally are added at this time.

Screen Options are usually installed at this phase

Interior Finish and Final Grade

The swimming pool shell gets cleaned out and covered with a durable diamond brite or stone mix finish. The color of the Diamond Brite or pebble finish you have chosen can be changed or upgrade all the way through to process prior to the day of installation of finish. Your backyard will be regarded and all major construction debris removed.

Start up, Baby Fence, Pool School, Pool Service, Pool Landscaping & Personal Touches

your pool equipment is turned on, baby fence or alarms are installed at this time. You are given a step by step instruction on how to work your pool equipment and clean it. Most customers typically sign up for service at this time.

Sodding, irrigation, tree installation, yard fences and after thought BBQ can be installed at this time.
